The Museums of Western Colorado is pleased to announce their participation in Blue Star Museums program. This collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America offers free admission to the nation’s active duty military personnel and their families, the National Guard and Reserve from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day 2018. This opportunity is available at all Museums of Western Colorado facilities including Museum of the West (Grand Junction), Dinosaur Journey (Fruita), and Cross Orchards (Fruitvale).
“More than 2,000 museums across America participate in Blue Star Museums each summer,” says Dr. Peter Booth, Executive Director for the Museums of Western Colorado. “It is a privilege for our Museum to become a part of this collaboration, and we are honored to be able to give back to those who are serving our country.”
