Local artisans will exhibit and sell their work at the inaugural Art in the Barn Festival, August 11, at Cross Orchards Historic Site. Visitors will experience the art of local, talented artists while enjoying the rustic beauty of Cross Orchards.
“In our continuing endeavor to create more special events at Cross Orchards, we have set up our first ever Art in the Barn Festival,” says Cross Orchards Site Manager Matt Darling. “We cannot think of a better inspirational venue than our barn at Cross Orchards. With 2,400 square feet, the historic barn gives the rare opportunity to have an indoor/outdoor event.”
Artisans will demonstrate their talents, and sell their unique pieces while art enthusiasts and visitors alike enjoy the summer ambience. Artists participating in the festival include: Kay Crane, Rachel Egelston, S. Metzger, Linda Armstrong, Bud Markos, Elisabeth Abel (glass), Patricia Stelter, Wendy Videlock, Vinje Fawn Lawson, Jenat Arsenault, Julia McHugh (photography), Seirrha Key, Janice Reich (gourds), Suzanne Warner (beads), and Ramon Moreno (gourds).
