Dinos on the Rocks – A Prehistoric Tasting Event

Join us for an evening of Jurassic-sized fun at Dinos on the Rocks, a cocktail tasting fundraiser and competition that promises a roaring good time!

Sample spirits, cocktails, and mocktails from local distilleries, bars, and restaurants around Western Colorado, bid on an array of prehistoric-themed silent auction items, and purchase a replica raptor claw at our liquor pull station! Guests will have the chance to vote for their favorite beverages from participating businesses. Businesses’ top spirits, cocktails, and mocktails will be presented with awards at the end of the night. Appetizers will be provided by Cowboy and the Rose.

Explore the museum’s exhibits (including our new Armored Mammals summer exhibit), learn about the fascinating world of dinosaurs, and mingle with fellow food and drink enthusiasts. Grab your friends and come out to support the Museums of Western Colorado with a night of fun, food, and fossils at Dinos on the Rocks!

Please note that this is a 21+ event only. Everyone will need to provide a form of ID in order to enter.

What Your Ticket Includes:

VIP Tickets:

• Early admission at 6:00pm, a VIP gift bag featuring an additional drink ticket and commemorative event rocks glass, and all offerings included under the general admission tickets.

General Admission Tickets:

• Admission at 6:30pm, 1(one) drink ticket, 4 (four) tasting votes, access to our silent auction, access to our Fossil Liquor Pull, beverage samples from participating distilleries, bars, and restaurants, appetizers from Cowboy and the Rose, and access to Dinosaur Journey’s current exhibit offerings.

Evening Agenda:

• Doors open at 6:00pm for all VIP ticket holders. Get a headstart at the Liquor Pull, get the first jump at taste-testing beverages from local distilleries, and pick up your VIP gift bag (complete with an additional drink ticket and commemorative event glass!).
• Doors open at 6:30pm for all General Admission ticket holders. Join in on the fun and explore the museum’s exhibits while sampling beverages, appetizers, and bidding on our robust silent auction offerings.
• Silent Auction ends at 9:00pm. Stay to see if you won one of our many offerings that helps benefit our museum’s mission.
• Last call for liquor is 9:00pm. If you missed out on trying a unique beverage, this is your last chance!
• “Best Drinks” Prizes awarded at 9:15pm. See if your favorite distillery or bar won one of four competing category awards!
• Event closes at 9:30pm. Thank you for supporting the museums, and drive safely!

Proceeds from this event will benefit Dinosaur Journey, helping us raise money for updated
exhibits that engage and educate visitors of all ages. Your support ensures that we can
continue to inspire wonder and curiosity about dinosaur discovery for years to come.
