Learn the lab skills for removing rock from fossil bone. Participants will spend a full day in the Dinosaur Journey Fossil Preparation Lab with our paleontologists. Learn three common techniques used in labs to clean and prepare delicate fossils excavated from the field. You will test your skill at the water world of screen washing, mechanically removing rock from bone with brushes and picks, as well as how to replicate fossil material at our molding and casting center. Our expert paleontologists will be there to guide you every step of the way.
