Join railroad historian and Cross Orchards curator, Matt Darling on a 5 mile hike exploring Dominguez Canyon.

Discover the route of the first main line of the Denver & Rio Grande railroad that travelled through the Rockies, not around them. Learn the obscure history of Bridgeport, CO, building the Bridgeport tunnel, and the wreck of the Mountaineer at Dominguez.

Trip Includes: Transportation and Picnic Lunch
Difficulty: 5/5 5 mile hike round trip, minimal elevation gain but rocky terrain
