Led by Peter Booth, Ph.D., MWC Executive Director, with the Aspen Historical Society
Originally called Ute City, Aspen has a colorful history provided by mining barons and entrepreneurs of the late 1800s as the community evolved from its mining roots to become America ski capital. Join our friends from the Aspen Historical Society as they take us on a walking tour that highlights the town’s fabulous Victorian architectural legacy as well as the colorful stories of those who made Aspen what it is. This will also be coupled with a visit to the Wheeler/Stallard Museum and the Aspen Saturday Market.
