What could be better than joining a paleontologist for an actual dig? Adding on a day to raft the Colorado River!
Join our paleontologist as we raft the black (calm) water of the Colorado River to experience canyon geology up close. Then, on our second day, we will dig into Mygatt-Moore Quarry where you can spend a day as a citizen scientist and dig for dinosaur bones.
Bring your hiking shoes, a water bottle, wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen and bug spray. Lunch is included each day. No hiking is required on this expedition, but participants should expect to be outside, in the heat and bugs on the water and working on open, rocky ground. We will provide shade tarps at the quarry site.
