Escalante Canyon, in Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area, preserves an almost unbroken chain of human visitation and settlement dating back at least 800 years. On this tour, the CCA will take us to Escalante Canyon describing the geology of the region along the way. Once at the canyon, participants will examine Ute and Fremont petroglyphs, historic cabins, fascinating geology, and the only surviving waterwheel on the Gunnison River.
