Half Day: June 22nd, 2022
June 22 @ 8:00 am

Difficulty: No hiking is required on this expedition, but participants should expect to be outside, in the heat and bugs, working on open, rocky ground. We will provide some shade tarps.
Description: Great for beginners of ages 5 and older, the Mygatt-Moore half day expeditions offer paleontology field work in the cool of a summer morning. Our paleontologists will make sure you have all the training and tools you need. Fossil bones of the giant Apatosaurus and the flesh-eating theropod, Allosaurus, are common in the quarry. This trip ends with a guided tour of the Paleo Lab at Dinosaur Journey. Water and Gatorade will be provided.
What to Bring: Expeditioners should dress for working outdoors in summer: bring a wide-brimmed hat, sturdy closed-toed shoes or hiking boots, sunscreen, a camera, and bug spray. Long pants are recommended, but not required.
