Historic Meeker Hotel Stay and Milk Creek Battlefield Tour

October 9 - October 10

Guide: Bob Silbernagel

Bob Silbernagel, author of Troubled Trails: The Meeker Affair and the Expulsion of the Utes, will be our guide as we visit the Milk Creek Battle Site and the original Indian Agency Site. We will also tour the Meeker Museum and visit other historic sites. The group will stay overnight at the historic Meeker Hotel. The hotel has been in existence since 1886 and host to such western notables as Teddy Roosevelt, Tom Horn, Billy the Kid and actor Gary Cooper, and is full of memorabilia and memories.
