A True Jurassic Park: Paleontology of McInnis Canyons NCA

The McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area is truly a Jurassic Park. This tour explores major paleontological sites including Trail Through Time and Mygatt-Moore Quarry, one of the most significant Upper Jurassic dinosaur sites in the country; Dinosaur Hill, where in 1900 Elmer Riggs excavated a partial Apatosaurus skeleton; and the Fruita Paleontological Area, one of the few sites in America where small fossils from the Jurassic Period have been discovered.

Member fee is for Museum or Colorado Canyons Association member
