GRAND JUNCTION, CO – The Museums of Western Colorado (MWC) and The Farm and Ranch Market (F.A.R.M.) are partnering to host the market at Cross Orchards Historic Site from June through October.
Formerly held in the Teller Arms Shopping Center parking lot, F.A.R.M. will now take place at Cross Orchards every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
“The Farm and Ranch Market would like to thank MWC and the many churches, businesses, and property owners, who offered space for the F.A.R.M. market. We look forward to an exciting market at the historic Cross Orchard location,” Kerry Cook, the president of F.A.R.M., said.
This partnership brings the oldest farmers’ market in western Colorado to what was once the largest orchard on the Western Slope. The local farmers and ranchers in F.A.R.M., working with the MWC, will be able to share the Grand Valley’s agricultural past and present with a wider audience.
“I can’t think of a better use for Cross Orchards than the opportunity for visitors to learn about the Grand Valley’s farming past, while enjoying the fruit of its present,” Peter Booth, the MWC’s Executive Director, said.
