Solving One of the West’s Great Murder Mysteries David Bailey, Curator of History and Director of Western Investigations Team, will explain the complex forensic investigation of Alferd Packer and the notorious murder site in Lake City, Colorado. Packer, known as the Colorado Cannibal, was accused of killing and eating his traveling companions in 1874. Our May Oral History presentation will be "A Briefly Complete History of Aspen." This is an original play written by Mike Monroney, History Coach at Aspen Historical Society. The play covers over 140 years of history, in 45 minutes with only three actors. It is very fast paced and humorous along with being factual and interpretive.
