Come learn about the history behind the scenery of the Western Slope. We've partnered with scientists from across the region (and the country) to present information about the geology, geography, and paleontology of our spectacular landscapes. Learn about Ice Age animals, deep-time minerals, cannibal dinosaurs, and much more. Lectures will take place in the newly-upgraded Dinosaur Journey auditorium and are open to the public.

Fortifying Roubidoux: Fort Uncompahgre and the Old Spanish Trail From the late 1820s until the 1840s Fort Uncompahgre was the only outpost in all of what was then northern Mexico. The popular fur trading post served fur trappers and Ute families.
